Jerad O’Pray joined the company in 2002 from University of Portsmouth where he studied Environmental Science. Since this time, Jerad has progressed from Consultant through to Director and is now the Managing Director of MSA. Jerad has played a key role in the company’s success and he is confident this will continue with the help of our young, eager and talented team… and Dave!
In 2010, Jerad became a Chartered Environmentalist (CEnv) and a member of the Chartered Institute of Water and Environmental Management (CIWEM).
Jerad has two young Children, Oscar and Erin, and when is not spending time with them he is a keen runner having completed several full and half marathons. He is also a keen triathlete having completed his first half Ironman and a full Ironman at Weymouth in 2016.
Jerad was also a useful football player having represented Bristol Rovers and Wiltshire County at youth level. Sadly, those days are now in the dim and distant past… although he does like to remind the team on a regular basis!
My first trip to Almarai company (Saudi Arabia) in 2008 was my first taste of working overseas. Also, identifying the root cause of a wastewater treatment challenge recently for a food client whereby toxicity was almost completely inhibiting the nitrification process. It was particularly rewarding after many stressful weeks/months spent getting to the bottom of it!
Don’t be put off by the perception of wastewater. The wastewater industry is a rewarding and challenging sector where you can develop, achieve career goals and work with great people in fantastic places!
Explore South America and Asia, parachute jump, master Spanish and play golf in the USA.
A weekend paper round in Bradford-on-Avon as a teenager, but was then poached/head hunted by Budgens, where I was a firm favourite amongst the customers!
Running is my main distraction and stress burner, gym (occasionally) and golf (work in progress). Also reading, movies, travelling and spending time with my family, which is my happy place.
