1. Why do you enjoy working for MSA?

“I must say that I really do learn something new everyday. The ability to get involved with every part of a business is pretty unique and means you are designing new wastewater plants in the morning and designing company branding in the afternoon. No two days are the same!”

2. What got you into engineering?

“My knack for breaking toys as a kid probably sparked my interest for making things work again. My mum always said that I would break things on purpose just to put them back together again, but I call that ‘upgrading’. ”

3. What is your favourite food/drink?

“Neapolitan pizza for sure. My Naples trip in December lasted 4 days and included close to 10 pizzas ”

4. What is your favourite biscuit?

“I have to say Viscount. There has been some debate about it breaking into chocolate territory, but for me, it’s in the biscuit aisle so it’s firmly a biscuit. ”

5. If you were an animal, which one would you be?

“My first thought was a bird. I’ll be specific with a migrating bird as it’s the travelling that attracts me to the bird lifestyle. I’m not signing up to be a pigeon in a city centre.”

6. What do you enjoy doing outside of work?

“I’ll always love playing basketball for as long as my body will let me. I’m sure I’ll then end up coaching after that or just shouting from the side lines. ”

7. Where’s your favourite place in the world?

“I’m pretty sure I haven’t discovered that place yet, but Sicily has to be up there. Some of the best food, best weather, beautiful beaches. ”

8. If you could be really good at one skill what would it be?

“Memory would be pretty useful to perfect. Not remembering why you walked into a room is honestly one of the most confusing and frustrating things ever!”

9. If you could have dinner with anyone, dead or alive, who would you choose?

“There’s too many on the list to select one, but I’m sure Peter Kay loves the craic! ”

10. What is your favourite sporting team?

“The Golden State Warriors in 2015/16 were a sight to behold. It was truly exciting to watch those games as you knew you were witnessing history. Shame about the Finals but that’s life!”
